Survey shows Gen Z and millennials prefer second-hand items, aiming to cut new purchases by up to 37%.

A recent survey of 4,000 adults shows that Gen Z and millennials are increasingly preferring second-hand items. Over 30% of Gen Z's current possessions are second-hand, with plans to increase this. Both generations aim to reduce new purchases by 32% and 37% respectively, largely due to environmental concerns and cost savings. Popular second-hand items include tech, accessories, and home goods. The trend is also gaining traction among older generations, with some Boomers following suit.
