A new study by the British Red Cross reveals that frequent visitors to A&E make up almost 14% of all emergency visits in Dorset. The repeat visitors, mostly over-70s with multiple conditions or younger adults with mental health issues, are often from deprived areas and tend to arrive via ambulance. The Red Cross recommends creating more specialized services for these frequent users to ease the burden on A&E.
