Researchers from Penn State College of Medicine found that any level of daily physical activity can temporarily boost mental reaction time and brain processing speed, equivalent to reducing cognitive age by four years. The study surveyed participants over a week using a mobile app, tracking their physical activities and cognitive performance through brain games. Results show that even light activities like walking or doing chores can enhance processing speed.
