Sarawak, Malaysia, introduces a new Year Six exam to evaluate its English-language teaching program.

Sarawak, Malaysia, will introduce a state-level standardized exam for Year Six students in Math, Science, and English next year to assess the effectiveness of its dual language program (DLP), which teaches these subjects in English. The state is also working with Cambridge University to align the assessment with international standards. Additionally, over 15,000 teachers have applied for special recruitment to address shortages, especially in rural areas.
