Honolulu Ocean Safety opens new lifeguard tower at Kalama Beach Park to increase coverage.

Honolulu Ocean Safety has opened a new lifeguard tower at Kalama Beach Park in Kailua, addressing the increased need for coverage at the popular beach. The tower is staffed daily from 8 am to 6:30 pm and will help with drownings, medical calls, missing persons, boaters in distress, and shark sightings. The city and residents' support has aided Honolulu Ocean Safety's expansion of lifeguarding services across the island.
