Starting Jan 1, Lahaina's "commercial bubble" reduces security checkpoints from nine to four.

Starting December 31, the Maui Emergency Management Agency will adjust security measures in Lahaina's "commercial bubble" by reducing security checkpoints from nine to four and relocating them. Hard barricades will remain on certain streets, and new signs will be installed to notify the public of changes. Property owners are advised to secure their own properties.
