Birdon America to deliver the first six Bridge Erection Boats to the Netherlands Army by end-September for the Wide Gap Crossing system.
Birdon America Inc. is set to deliver the first tranche of six Bridge Erection Boats (BEBs) to the Netherlands Army by the end of September, as part of a contract with General Dynamics European Land Systems. These BEBs are part of three sets of Wide Gap Crossing systems, including Improved Ribbon Bridges, Bridge Adapter Pallets, and Birdon BEBs. The Netherlands BEBs will feature upgraded capabilities, including an icebreaker bow, quick release launch capability, electric winch, and reduced maintenance and downtime upgrades. The full Integrated Logistics Support package, including technical manuals and training programs, is nearing completion.
