Kongsberg Maritime Sweden has been awarded a contract by Damen Naval to supply controllable pitch propellers and shaft lines for four Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) frigates being developed for the Netherlands and Belgium. This is the second collaboration between the companies in the past 18 months, following a similar contract for the German Navy's F126 frigates. The frigates will feature hybrid diesel-electric propulsion and prioritize quiet operations.
