Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) partners with Dutch shipbuilding company Royal IHC to design a new medium-class hopper dredge for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) Ready Reserve Fleet. The highly automated vessel, expected to be completed by 2027, will replace a 57-year-old dredge and aid USACE's navigation mission. The project involves construction at ESG's Allanton and Port St. Joe facilities.
