487 patients were waiting for beds in Irish hospitals on Tuesday, with 353 in emergency departments and 134 in wards, according to the INMO Trolleywatch figures. University Hospital Limerick had the highest count (103 patients), followed by Letterkenny (49) and Cork University Hospitals (46). Over 9,755 patients were admitted without beds in July nationwide, and INMO General Secretary Phil Ní Sheaghdha warns of worsening overcrowding if action isn't taken.
