Less than half (48%) of 16-24-year-olds watch traditional TV weekly, down from 76% in 2018, according to Ofcom's annual Media Nations report. Young people aged 16-24 now watch an average of just 20 minutes of live TV daily, with over 93% of this age group preferring to watch video-sharing platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. Traditional TV viewership has declined by 6% in the last year.
