2022 marks the first decline in Facebook's user base, while Gen Z and millennials equally use Instagram and YouTube.

Emarketer's report reveals that while Gen Z (1997-2012) favors Snapchat and TikTok, and millennials (1981-1996) lean towards Facebook, both generations use Instagram and YouTube almost equally. Gen Z makes up 35% of Instagram's users and 25.5% of YouTube's, while millennials account for 36.1% of Instagram users and 25.2% of YouTube users. Facebook saw a decline for the first time in its history in 2022.
