USTR allocates 145,235 MT of raw cane sugar from the Philippines at a lower duty rate under WTO TRQ for FY2025.

The US Trade Representative (USTR) has allocated 145,235 MT of raw cane sugar from the Philippines to enter the US at a lower duty rate under the World Trade Organization tariff-rate quota (TRQ) for fiscal year 2025. The Philippines was given the third-largest allocation, following the Dominican Republic's 189,343 MT and Brazil's 155,993 MT. The US TRQ system allows certain countries to export specific quantities of a product to the US at a relatively low tariff.
