Tech tycoon Mike Lynch, once Britain's top tech innovator, was cleared of fraud charges in the US, relating to the £8.64bn sale of his company, Autonomy, to Hewlett Packard in 2011. Lynch, who faced up to 20 years in prison if convicted, was extradited to the US last year and spent 13 months under house arrest awaiting his trial. The 11-week criminal trial in San Francisco found him not guilty on all 15 felony counts.
