2011: US trial for British tech founder Mike Lynch in HP's $11bn Autonomy acquisition fraud case concludes in San Francisco.
The US trial of British tech founder Mike Lynch, accused of fraud over Hewlett-Packard's $11bn acquisition of his software firm Autonomy in 2011, is expected to conclude with closing arguments in San Francisco on Monday. Lynch denies wrongdoing and claims HP botched the integration of the two firms. HP wrote down Autonomy's value by $8.8bn within a year of the acquisition. Both Lynch and former Autonomy finance executive Stephen Chamberlain face charges of fraud and conspiracy.
