CEO of biotech firm linked to Mississippi's corruption case, Jacob VanLandingham, pleaded guilty to wire fraud for misusing $2.1M welfare funds intended for a concussion drug. The funds were used for his companies' stocks and personal gain, including gambling and debt payments. Former NFL star Brett Favre, a Prevacus investor, has not been charged with wrongdoing. VanLandingham faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250K fine.
