Former Apple lawyer Gene Levoff fined $1.15m by SEC for insider trading, avoiding prison with probation and community service.
Former Apple lawyer Gene Levoff has been fined $1.15 million by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a related civil case after pleading guilty to insider trading. Levoff, who avoided prison time, was found guilty of exploiting his roles at Apple to gain $604,000 in illegal profits. In December, he was sentenced to four years probation and 2,000 hours of community service.
