British tech tycoon Mike Lynch has been acquitted of fraud charges in the US over the $11bn sale of his Autonomy software firm to Hewlett-Packard (HP) in 2011. The jury found him not guilty of falsely inflating revenue at Autonomy when he sold it to HP. Lynch faced decades in prison, but the verdict clears him of the charges that he led one of the biggest frauds in the technology industry.
