28-year-old Daniel Saunders admitted to owning banned XL bully-type dogs and was sentenced to a community order with unpaid work, destruction of dogs, and fines.

28-year-old Daniel Saunders of Warrington Road in Bold Heath admitted in court to breaking the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 by owning two XL bully-type dogs, Marlo and Velma. The court ordered the dogs' destruction, sentenced Saunders to a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 40 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay £1,081 to Merseyside Police, £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a £114 surcharge.
