90% of British Columbia communities adopt provincial plans for more small-scale housing, allowing for row homes, triplexes, and townhouses on former single-home lots. As of July 23, 162 local governments have passed compliant bylaws, another 9 are working toward it, and 15 have requested extensions. West Vancouver is the only community that fully rejects the requirement and has been issued a non-compliance notice.
