British Columbia secures 8 new sites for its BC Builds program, which aims to build middle-income rental housing on public land owned by the province, non-profits or community groups. Locations are in Langley, Kelowna, Kamloops, Sooke, Chemainus, and Elkford. The program offers low-cost financing and projects are expected to go from concept to construction in 12-18 months after site identification. The total of 12 sites are anticipated to deliver about 524 homes.
