The British Columbia government has announced the addition of 20 communities, including Surrey, Kelowna, southern Vancouver Island, West Kelowna, and Prince George, to its housing target list over the next five years. These high-growth, high-need regions in the province will have housing growth targets set by the government this summer to address housing supply and affordability issues.
