39-year-old Li Shengtao, a paragliding instructor from Tibet, became the first Chinese to paraglide from Mount Qomolangma, the world's highest peak, on May 18, 2023. He discovered paragliding in 2016, mastered it, and set up Xizang's first paragliding base at Yamdrok Lake in 2018, training almost 50 students.
