China's steel ladder in Zhaojue County sets Guinness World Record at 370.1 meters, aiding isolated "cliff village."

A steel ladder in Zhaojue County, Sichuan, China, has set a Guinness World Record for the greatest elevation span at 370.1 meters. Built in 2017, it replaced a rattan ladder and provides access to the isolated "cliff village" of Atulie'er, surrounded by 800-meter cliffs. The ladder's construction is part of China's poverty alleviation efforts, which lifted nearly 100 million rural residents out of poverty by 2020.
