The 54-year-old sherpa climber, from Nepal, broke his previous record on May 22, climbing the world's highest peak at 7:49 am local time. Kami Rita Sherpa, a senior guide at Seven Summit Treks and 14 Peaks Expedition, has been climbing mountains for over two decades.
