39-year-old Hayley MacFarlane, who suffered from postnatal depression and psychosis, killed her five-month-old baby daughter Evelyn on December 20th at Woodhouse Moor Park in Leeds, UK. MacFarlane had been receiving treatment at a mental health unit and was later discharged after 28 days. Despite appearing to improve, her emotional condition worsened, leading to the tragic incident. MacFarlane pleaded guilty to infanticide and will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court.
