Kimberly Dow, 34, from Fife, was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison for attempting to murder a five-month-old baby under her care. The High Court in Edinburgh found her guilty of shaking the infant, resulting in severe injuries, including 15 bruises, retinal hemorrhages, and brain hemorrhaging. Dow denied the charges and attempted to blame the baby's mother, but the jury convicted her, stating the injuries could have been fatal.
