33-year-old Putnam County mother, Brooke Kessler, has been charged with the death of her 16-day-old baby girl after suffering from serious, non-accidental injuries. Kessler was initially charged with child abuse, strangulation, and malicious assault last week. The baby was brought to CAMC Women & Children’s Hospital with injuries that appeared suspicious and non-accidental, including bruising around the throat, back of the head, left eye, a broken arm, and six broken ribs.
