7 individuals were hospitalized, and one died in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, after ingesting a potentially contaminated batch of Zopiclone, a sleeping medication. Cleveland Police are investigating the incident and warn drug users of the potential risk of illness or overdose from the contaminated batch. Zopiclone, used to treat insomnia, can cause dependency and is prescribed for only two to four weeks.
