The HSE has issued an "extreme risk" warning about counterfeit benzodiazepine tablets linked to overdoses and hospitalisations across Ireland. Nitazene-type opioids, found in yellow tablets sold as benzodiazepines, have been linked to overdoses and fatalities. The HSE strongly recommends that people do not take these tablets, avoid new batches or sources of drugs, and consult a local service or doctor.
