79 pro-Palestinian protesters arrested at UT-Austin in April had charges dropped due to insufficient evidence.

79 pro-Palestinian protesters arrested at the University of Texas at Austin on April 29 had their charges dropped by Travis County Attorney Delia Garza. The protesters were initially charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor. Garza stated that the County Attorney's Office could not prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt. This marks the second police crackdown on pro-Palestinian demonstrations at UT-Austin, with the first protest on April 24 also resulting in charges being dropped due to lack of probable cause.
