University of Arizona police removed an unauthorized pro-Palestinian protest encampment, made from wooden pallets and debris, on campus grounds, in violation of campus policy. After ignoring warnings to disperse, police deployed tear gas to disperse the crowd, which had thrown rocks and water bottles at officers and staff. The university has taken action to ensure the safety of graduation attendees and warned that those who violated the law may face arrest and prosecution.
