2025 ban on full-range V-22 Osprey missions due to safety concerns following recent crashes.

The US military's V-22 Ospreys will not be allowed to fly their full range of missions until at least 2025, according to the head of the program, Vice Adm. Carl Chebi. This decision follows safety concerns in the fleet after recent crashes that killed 20 service members in the last two years. Chebi informed lawmakers at a House oversight hearing that it will take another six to nine months to complete all safety and performance assessments for the Osprey.
