U.S. Navy and Air Force resume V-22 Osprey flights under new inspection guidelines after grounding.

The U.S. Navy and Air Force have been allowed to resume flights of their V-22 Osprey aircraft after a temporary grounding in December due to a near crash in New Mexico in November. The resumption is conditional on following new gearbox inspection guidelines. The Marines had resumed flights earlier under limitations from March, while the Navy and Air Force continued to investigate metal component failures.
