Greek archaeologists have unearthed a rare ancient monument on Crete island during construction works for a new airport. The monument, which dates back to the Minoan-era (3,100-1,100 BC), is a circular structure with a diameter of about 48 meters and covers a surface area of approximately 1,800 square meters. The discovery has prompted a change in the location of the airport's radar systems to preserve the monument.
