Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city, has unveiled a new subway system blending ancient artifacts with modern transit technology. Construction, which started in 2003, unearthed over 300,000 artifacts, including a Roman thoroughfare and Byzantine relics, now displayed in 13 stations. The 9.6-kilometer line uses driverless trains and opens on November 30, with a second line under construction.
