Longford-Westmeath TD Robert Troy will appear before the Standard in Public Office (Sipo) committee on Monday due to failure to fully declare property interests. Troy resigned as Minister of State for Enterprise, Trade and Employment in August 2022 after media reports revealed his non-disclosure. The Oireachtas ethics rules require public officials to declare contracts they were part of, directly or indirectly, if the value exceeded €6,500. Troy stated at the time he acted in error and was embarrassed for not fully disclosing his properties.
