Robert Troy of Fianna Fáil faces a tough re-election bid, finishing second in Ireland's Longford/Westmeath constituency.

Robert Troy of Fianna Fáil is confident about retaining his seat in the Longford/Westmeath constituency, despite receiving fewer first-preference votes than in 2020. Troy secured 8,073 votes (13.2%), placing him second behind Peter Burke. He acknowledged the challenge posed by three outgoing TDs from the Mullingar area and thanked his supporters, believing that many who gave Burke their first preference gave him the second, which could help him secure a win.
