1,700+ Malawian public officers have failed to declare assets, businesses, and liabilities, as per the law. The Public Appointments Committee (PAC) of Parliament plans to push for their dismissal and demands the naming and shaming of such officers. PAC chairperson Joyce Chitsulo expressed disappointment with five institutions that did not submit declarations, including the Malawi Defence Force.
