Danish firm NKT names its second cable-laying vessel NKT Eleonora, designed to run on methanol. With a power cable-laying capacity of 23,000 tonnes, the vessel will be among the first in the world to operate on methanol, reducing carbon footprint. The new vessel, set for operation in 2027, offers flexible offshore cable laying capacity and a range of subsea tooling for precise cable installation.
