Norwegian shipbuilder Vard contracts TMC Compressors for a marine compressed air system for Prysmian's third cable-laying vessel.
Norwegian shipbuilder Vard has contracted TMC Compressors to supply a complete marine compressed air system for a newbuild cable-laying vessel for Prysmian. The vessel, designed for advanced subsea operations, will feature a 19,000-tonne cable loading capacity. TMC will deliver control and service air compressors designed to minimize energy consumption, emissions, and operating costs. This is the third cable-laying vessel Prysmian has ordered from Vard.
