B.C. team hits the road to build DIY wildfire air filters for $100 each, studies show they clean air at a rate equal to or better than $250 commercial air filter devices. The initiative aims to help people reduce exposure to fine particulate matter from wildfires, known as PM2.5, which can lead to lung cancer, chronic pulmonary disease, and worsen existing lung illnesses.
