Rebekah Vardy's barrister allegedly worked on Christmas Day in the Wagatha Christie libel case, as Coleen Rooney's lawyers contest the £325,000 legal bill. Vardy lost her libel claim against Rooney in July 2022, with Mrs Justice Steyn ruling that Vardy's social media post accusing Rooney of leaking her private information to the press was "substantially true." Vardy was ordered to pay 90% of Rooney's costs, with an initial £800,000 payment. The case has returned to court for a hearing over some of Vardy's pre-trial costs, which Rooney is set to pay.
