NRA elects Doug Hamlin as EVP/CEO and Bob Barr as president, replacing ousted Wayne LaPierre.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) has elected Doug Hamlin as its new executive vice president and CEO, after the ousting of former leader Wayne LaPierre due to spending excesses. The NRA's board of directors also elected former Republican Congressman Bob Barr from Georgia as the new president. Both Hamlin and Barr have promised to work towards the group's growth and advocating for Second Amendment rights.
