155 call center employees arrested in Mohali for defrauding US citizens with gift card scams.
155 call centre employees were arrested in Mohali for duping US citizens through fraudulent calls. The fake call centers, operated during nighttime, duped foreign nationals into purchasing gift cards from Target, Apple, and Amazon. The Centers were run by Gujarat-based kingpins who are now absconding. The Cyber Crime Division of Punjab Police is hunting for these kingpins.
