In Uttar Pradesh, two individuals, including a postgraduate in Master of Computer Applications, were arrested for allegedly defrauding senior government officials using call spoofing. The suspects, Anvesh Tiwari and Kaptan Tiwari, impersonated high-ranking officials through VOIP calls and manipulated CUG numbers to seek favors for their associates and financial backers, as well as influence village projects.
