A UK agency allegedly scammed a migrant from the Indian subcontinent, charging him £1,500 and retaining his passport before letting him believe he would have a job in Ireland. However, the scammed migrant arrived at the International Protection Office (IPO) instead of the job he was promised. The case was disclosed to the Irish Parliament (Dáil) by Independent TD Michael McNamara, who stated that the migrant is now trying to return to the UK and escape the asylum system.
