2,300 Canadian high school teachers have completed Opioid Overdose Response Training (OORT) from the ACT Foundation, allowing them to educate students on responding to suspected opioid overdoses. This complements the foundation's existing free CPR and automated external defibrillator program. Over 160,000 students per year could potentially learn how to intervene in opioid overdose situations, thanks to this training.
