South Africa experiences 40 consecutive days without power cuts, best in 2 years, due to Eskom's structural changes and solar photovoltaic rollout.

South Africa has experienced 40 consecutive days without power cuts, marking the best performance in the last two years, according to Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa. The minister attributes this to structural changes within Eskom, the country's power entity, which has recovered 1,000 megawatts compared to the same period the previous year. Unplanned outages have been reduced by about 4,400 megawatts, boosted by the aggressive rollout of solar photovoltaic by both industry and households, supported by tax incentives.
