62-year-old Norman Sturgill from Kentucky pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide by intoxication and twelve counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon for a boating collision on Norris Lake last July, resulting in a child's death. Sturgill was sentenced to eight years in jail, a $5,000 contribution to the Victim's Assessment Fund, eight years of probation, and prohibition from operating motorized vehicles. His boat was forfeited to the state.
